A few days ago, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili made a statement that, for example, the fate of Georgian wine should not depend on the decision of "a maniac like Onishchenko". Saakashvili made such a statement at the government meeting in Batumi. According to the president, nobody should even discuss whether to return Georgian wines to Russia.
"So I spoke with Moldovans, and they allegedly return to the Russian market, but they were "bothered". "And we must not depend on "such a maniac like Onishchenko". Our wines, as opposed to the Moldova, is of very high quality and has a huge market for its sale, if only "Samtrest" would have worked a little better", Saakashvili said.
Earlier, he announced his decision to release Vassil Managadze from the office of the head of "Samtrest".
"I am not satisfied with "Samtrest", and I want to say that its manager was fired. I'm not happy because we're entering the international market too slowly. This man had so many years to solve all the problems. In reality there is incredible potential for our wine, and we must not depend on someone else", said Saakashvili.
