Dvorkovich: Russia will settle the problem with the WTO "in the coming hours"
Russian presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich is confident that Moscow will be able to resolve its differences with the Georgian side and to obtain the consent of Tbilisi on Russia's accession to the WTO very soon.
According to VZGLIAD, after talks of President Dmitry Medvedev with President of Switzerland Micheline Calmy-Rey on the possible accession of Russia to the World Trade Organization, Dvorkovich said that after the discussion there remain a number of questions which require clarification.
"We hope that all the issues will be agreed upon in the coming hours", he added.
Recall, Medvedev himself at a meeting with Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey said that Moscow is expecting on the successful conclusion of negotiations on accession to the WTO till the end of the year.
Dmitry Medvedev has also thanked the Swiss counterpart for the mediation efforts which Switzerland has made in order to "facilitate the entry of Russia into the WTO and to achieve the necessary arrangements".
"I hope that today's discussion will be successful and its result will allow Russia to join the WTO till the end of the year", President of Switzerland said in his turn.
