Sargsyan's visit to Tbilisi was not canceled but rescheduled, clarified Kalandadze
At a briefing to reporters, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze denied reports about the deterioration of relations between the presidents of Armenia and Georgia, and cancelation of the visit Serzh Sargsyan in Sakartvelo, published in a number of media.
As reported by "Georgia-News", recently media claimed that visit of President of Armenia to Georgia, planned for early November, was canceled due to the propositional Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili about a lack of responsiveness of Armenian authorities in the aftermath of a landslide in the area of Armenian-Georgian border. The Georgian side would have reached the place much faster in this situation, according to Saakashvili.
It is worth mentioning that as a result of the tragedy, the two citizens of Georgia were among the five deceased.
"Information about the fact that a certain state got outraged by the other side because of some statements, is not true", Kalandadze said in response to that. "Georgia and Armenia are on good terms, as well as the presidents of two countries have especially good relations", she added.
According to Kalandadze, Serzh Sargsyan's visit to Tbilisi was not canceled but rescheduled. The date of this visit is being specified.
