Gilauri admitted that the main thing is to solve the unemployment problem
According to the head of the Georgian government Nikoloz Gilauri, the country's main problem today is unemployment. As reported by "Georgia-News", Gilauri made such recognition during a video conference, which took place on the Internet, on the social network Facebook. Georgian Prime Minister told about plan for social and economic development until 2015 prepared by the Georgian government, and answered questions from users.
"The unemployment rate now stands at 15 percent. But it should be noted that in comparison with 2010, the unemployment rate is slightly declining. Last year it stood at 16.4 percent", said the prime minister.
He explained that the government developed a ten-items plan for the development of Georgia till 2015 "for the modernization and employment" to deal with this most important country's issue.
Prime Minister stressed that the ten-items plan is completely real, and the government implements it. "This plan proceeds from the financial capacity of the state. First, we have carried out an analysis of financial capacity, macro-economic indicators and debt, and then we have designed specific directions of infrastructure development, agriculture and social programs. Everything is interconnected. Slight variations can take place. For this purpose we plan updating the plan every 6 months and amend it", said the Prime.
"Georgia should not have very high level of public debt, the country's annual expenditures should not exceed revenues, the deficit must be low, inflation is expected to be approximately at the same exponent, while economic growth should be above average. So we will be able to catch up fast", said Gilauri.
