The Second Russian Movie Festival will be held in Tbilisi
The Georgian capital is preparing to take the participants and guests of the Second Russian Movie Festival on from 2 to 6 October. According to "Georgia-News", it will work in Tbilisi's largest movie theater "Rustaveli". As the International Foundation of Arts and Intercultural Dialogue, which is the organizer of the event, explained in an interview, they will present the best feature and documentary movies of 2010. Its authors are filmmakers from Armenia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
"The word "Second" are life-asserting, and we hope that our initiative of last year will become a long tradition, and such "Tbilisi Week" take its rightful place among the festival events of Georgia and Russia", said in the organizing committee.
They explained that the column "Directors of 2000's" will be represented by "the Georgian line" of contemporary Russian movie. There also will be shown retrospective of films by Pavel Loungin - "The Island", "Taxi Blues", "Wedding" and "Poor Relatives".
The film's directors Roman Balayan, Vadim Abdrashitov, Mikhail Agranovich and Galina Danelia became special guests of the festival.
