Usupashvili: Ivanishvili has no idea what to expect
According to leader of the Georgian Republican Party David Usupashvili, entering politics, Georgian businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili does not imagine that he could be deprived of his citizenship.
"Ivanishvili is important new person in Georgian politics. I think that it is enough for the revival of the processes that take place in the country. As for his plan for a political party, he answered that was among his first statements. During meetings with him, he has confirmed this intention, although it is not yet a specific project. On the one hand, he had to deal with such issues, which, apparently, he had not planned initially. For example, deprivation of citizenship", the GHN quoted Usupashvili's opinion.
The Republican has further emphasized that the creation of a political party is not a process that can be implemented within one or two days.
"I have a sense that he well understands it. So I do not expect quick forcing events in this direction. The rest, probably, Bidzina Ivanishvili will tell himself. As for the new political party officials, he had never spoken to me about it", said in an interview Usupashvili.
Recall, for about a month ago, Georgian businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili made several important statements. He expressed his willingness to abandon the Russian and French citizenship for participation in the political life of Georgia. Ivanishvili also said that he would sell about a third of his business, located in Russia, untill the parliamentary elections in Georgia, scheduled for 2012.
