Medvedkov: Russia and Georgia have agreed!
On the eve, the head of Russian delegation at the negotiations with Georgia on Russia's accession to the WTO, the director of the Department of Trade Negotiations of Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Medvedkov said that Russia has agreed with Georgia on the monitoring of goods at the border of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. As recalled by Trend, this question was the last "stumbling block" in the way of Russia to this international structure.
"We have agreed within our principled stands", RIA Novosti quoted Medvedkov's words.
He explained that an agreement, that the data audit on trafficking at the border of Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be implemented by independent company, was reached. Among other things, it will assist in the work of Russian and Georgian customs services.
It should be noted that Russia is trying to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) since 1993.
