Christian Democrats are concerned about Georgian citrus fruits
Leader of the Georgian Christian Democrats Giorgi Targamadze expressed his concern with the beginning of citrus harvest season in Georgia. According to "Business-Georgia", at today's plenary session of Parliament, he called on the authorities to take decisive steps in this direction.
According to Targamadze, in western Georgia, people are waiting for the harvest of citrus with fear, because their income almost entirely depends on the successful sale of citrus fruit. And this year, unlike other years, the government does not provide subsidies in this area, he said.
"In a country where the Georgian citrus fruits were exported, the taxes were raised, and the Georgian railway does not have proper refrigeration cars, which could bring citrus at least to Ukraine", added Targamadze.
