Georgian Foreign Ministry: the talks between Moscow and Sukhum on the border are illegal
Today, Georgian Foreign Ministry issued a document, which contains a protest in connection with the negotiations between Moscow and Sukhum on the delimitation of "the state Russian-Abkhaz border".
"November 8, the media spread the message that in Sukhum (Abkhazia, Georgia) the 3rd meeting between the representatives of Russia and the "occupation regime" of Abkhazia on "the delimitation of state borders and the maritime delimitation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia was held", Trend quoted statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
On the international legal point of view, these talks are illegal and all agreements will not have any legal consequences, believe in Georgian Ministry.
The only party with which it is possible to negotiate on the delimitation and demarcation of state border of Georgia (both - land and marine), is the central government of Georgia, according to the statement.
