Ivanishvili is committed to protect the rights of dissidents
In the near future, Georgian businessman and politician Bidzina Ivanishvili intends to initiate a number of new projects in the field of human rights. As reported by the GHN citing the press service of Ivanishvili, in the near future, he and the subjects of civil society of the country are going to begin implementing several projects related to creating necessary mechanisms for the release of those who have been arrested in Georgia for political reasons; and, in addition, to create the conditions in the country, necessary to ensure the legal protection of persons who will be the subject of harassment by the authorities for political reasons.
"We declare that the protection of human rights and the perception of fairness by each person will be a priority for the social movement, established by Bidzina Ivanishvili on November 25", said in the press service of the businessman in a statement.
Recall, about a month ago Ivanishvili made a number of important applications. He expressed his willingness to abandon Russian and French citizenship for participation in the political life of Georgia. He also wanted to sell his business, located in Russia, till the parliamentary elections in Georgia, scheduled for 2012.
