TV "Maestro" denies that they received "gifts" from Ivanishvili
Representatives of the Georgian TV Company "Maestro" have refuted the information that they had receive financial assistance from the politician and businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili. As reported by "Georgia-News", in particular, the founder and co-owner of "Maestro" Mamuka Glonti has made this refutation. Earlier, the Labor Party said that journalists of "Maestro" had received "millions" from Bidzina Ivanishvili.
"If he [Labor leader Natelashvili] would lead at least one fact, or a witness, who would confirm that "Maestro" had ever taken a penny for during 18 years of its existence, I'd give Natelashvili my personall share of "Maestro", said Mamuka Glonti.
In turn, members of the Labor Party believe that the policy of Georgian billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili has started funding TV companies "Maestro" and "Kavkasia".
Political Secretary of Laborists George Gugava accused these two companies of biased coverage of topics, related to Ivanishvili, at a recent press conference.
"They are praising Ivanishvili in live air. Look at the stories by these two TV channels - Ivanishvili is almost sacred, according to them", said Gugava. He is confident that these channels receive money from him.
The head of Information Service of TV "Kavkasia" Nino Dzhangirashvili has called the statement by Giorgi Gugava "stupidity". "We should not even comment it", added Dzhangirashvili.
