Gilauri is luring Germans with Georgia
On the eve, in Berlin, the discussion of the issues of deepening Georgian-German economic relations was held. According to Trend citing the press service of Georgian government, Georgia was represented by Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, and Germany - by Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dirk Nobel.
"Germany is one of the most significant political and economic partners of Georgia. Germany is playing a significant role in the EU and NATO, so establishing closer contacts with Berlin is vital task for Georgia", said Georgian Prime in an interview with reporters after meeting.
He added that the main purpose of his current visit to this European country is to introduce the political establishment and the elite of Germany with the situation in Georgia and South Caucasus as a whole. "We briefed the Minister with the reforms that strengthen democracy in Georgia", said Gilauri.
After the meeting with the Minister, Gilauri has met with German businessmen and also has spoken at the Korber Foundation. During his lecture, he has introduced the reforms carried out in Sakartvelo, spoken about the attractiveness of Caucasus region in the field of business.
During his visit to Germany, Gilauri also intends to talk to an advisor of the Federal Chancellor on security and foreign policy Christoph Husgen, representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Germany and other officials.
