Vepkhvadze: All current Georgian ministers are incompetent
According to representative of Georgian Christian Democrats, MP Levan Vepkhvadze, almost all of current Georgian ministers are incompetent and versed in their fields. As reported by the GHN, Vepkhvadze believes that the views of ministers on the current Georgian education, energy, health, agriculture is radically different from the challenges that actually face the country's population.
"For example, they plan to build several hydroelectric power stations, though they haven't defined on which rates they will supply the energy to the Georgian energy system, and whether they have a general duty to supply electricity. While the construction of the hydropower plant may lead to environmental catastrophe, the population even does not know if they will beneficial. The main reason, announced by the Ministry of Energy, is to export power to Turkey. This energy must be supplied in winter to the power system of Georgia at low rates. This will reduce the price for electricity, gas, and the cost of products manufactured in Georgia. It will be a great incentive for the Georgian economy, an increase of investment, and there will be created new jobs", the Christian Democrat shared his concerns in an interview.
He recalled that the next week, Parliament of Georgia intends to carry out political debate on this topic, initiated by representatives of Christian Democrats.
