The opposition calls the head of the Georgian National Bank "on the carpet"
Representatives of the Georgian parliamentary opposition demanded to invited the head of the National Bank Giorgi Kadagidze to the Parliament of Georgia. As reported by the GHN, the MPs want to hear his explanation of the situation around the bank, owned by businessmen and politicians Bidzina Ivanishvili - "Kartu Bank".
In particular, the parliamentary faction "Unity for Justice" is going to hold extended session in the Parliament on November 17, on which invited the head of the NBG.
As the MP Giorgi Tsagareishvili explained in an interview, representatives of the factions have sent three letters to the NBG, as well as called to the press service of the National Bank. However, they responded, that they have no specific decision on Kadagidze's participate in the parliamentary session.
"When the bank will be ruined, nobody would need Kadagidze's answer", Tsagereishvili commented this situation. He recalled that they appropriated funds of the Bank, owned by Ivanishvili, almost a month ago, but there's still no decision on this issue.
