Data on the volume of money transfers to Georgia announced
According to the information published on the eve by the National Bank of Georgia, in October 2011 $ 54.7 million were transferred from Russia to Georgia. According to "Business-Georgia", it is 57.8 percent of all remittances to the country in October.
In comparison with data for September 2011, the volume of money transfers from Russia decreased by $ 4.3 million, and in comparison with October 2010, increased by $ 4.6 million.
The second place on the money transfers to Georgia is taken by Greece - $ 7.2 million. The figure is $ 1.9 million increase over the same period last year.
Italy follows them with $ 6.3 million - an increase on $ 1.3 million over October 2010.
Totally, in October 2011, Georgia received $ 94.6 million from abroad. This is for $ 6.5 million less than in September, but on $ 7.9 million more than in October 2010.
Georgia transferred $ 8.1 million abroad in October this year. That means $ 3.1 million to Russia, and $ 1,6 million to Ukraine.
