Kobalia: Georgia expects investments increase
According to information announced today by Georgian Economic Minister Vera Kobalia, the Georgian government expects that by year's end the volume of the investments in the economy would increase to $ 1 billion. As reported by the GHN, Kobalia announced these figures during her speech at a conference in Tbilisi, which holds the magazine "The Economist".
According to Kobalia, investments in the country are expected in various sectors, including the energy sector.
"In 2011, investment will amount to $ 1 billion, and these investments come from different sectors including the energy sector; and I want to say that next year, we have already concluded twice as many contracts. Investment Agency is working intensively on the development of textile industry in the country, and trying to attract investments from Turkey", concluded the head of the Georgian Ministry of Economy.
