"I grew up in the village and I'm the peasant's son, so I know how the peasants work. In Soviet period there were relatively rich and poor villages. And now I can't name them. All the peasants began to resemble each other and all are in dire poverty. We must to do everything possible to help the village. in 2004 I made an offer to the president. I offered him 1 billion GEL for the primary investment in the agricultural sector and its development. After coming to power, we'll immediately begin to reform agricultural sector", said Ivanishvili said.
