"The House of the Russian book" will appear in Tskhinval
A cultural center "The House of Russian books" will be created In the South Ossetian capital - Tskhinval.
According to the Osinform, the president of the Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature of RSO Zalina Tedeeva has reported that the Center's creators are planning to expand the familiarizing residents of the republic with the Russian literature. It will present classic works of famous Russian writers, as well as the latest arrivals. In addition, one of Centre's objective will be the development of cooperation between Moscow and Tskhinval in the humanitarian field.
Recall, recently, a referendum on the issue of giving Russian a state language was held in South Ossetia. Positive attitude to this idea was expressed by 83.99% of the voters. This information was published by the head of Central Election Commission South Ossetia Bella Pliyeva. "The referendum on the language was held. 83.99% of the voters expressed positively. 16.01% were opposed", explained Pliyeva.
Under the current Constitution of South Ossetia, the Ossetian language is the state language, while Russian language is the official language.
