Reagan Freedom Center opens in Tbilisi
Today, Reagan Freedom Center opens in the Georgian capital. According to Trend, this is the first center outside the U.S., which is officially named in honor of President Reagan. The opening ceremony of the Center is scheduled for 14:00 local time. The Center opens under a partnership agreement between the initiative group of Georgia and presidential fund of Ronald Reagan in Georgia. This will be an official partner of the presidential fund.
As expected, the opening ceremony will be attended by the executive director of the presidential fund Hoibus John, Senior Consultant Linda Bond, as well as representatives of the U.S. Congress David Dreier, Ed Whitfield, and Donald Payne.
The monument to the 40th President of the United States also must be opened today in Central Park Rika in Tbilisi.
Last Sunday, the monument was brought to the square, where now is being installed. The author of the monument is Georgian sculptor Avtandil Monaselidze.
On the pedestal, there is a famous saying of Ronald Reagan in English and Georgian languages: "Freedom is to take care of all generations."
