Saakashvili has pardoned prisoners to the holiday
In the honor of the day of St. George, which is celebrated today in Georgia, the Georgian leader carries out an act of clemency. According to the GHN, Mikhail Saakashvili signed a decree to pardon the prisoners, who were selected at the meeting of the Commission on Pardons Georgia, held on November 18. Initially, the committee members received 300 applications from prisoners. Among others, there were also cases of minors and women.
However, only those prisoners, who were sentenced for lighter crimes or crimes of medium gravity, and those who are different and good behavior, have received the recommendation to pardon.
