The Georgian National Bank predicts moderate inflation
On the eve, the Georgian National Bank has cut interest rates by 25 basis points - to 7 percent. As reported by "Business-Georgia", according to the Monetary Policy Committee of the bank, the inflation rate in the last period was declining faster than previously thought.
Thus, according to analysts of the National Bank, in October this year, the annual inflation rate fell to 2.3 percent. According to the Statistics Service of Georgia (Gruzstat) in September 2011, the figure was 4.6 percent.
According to the Monetary Policy Committee of the Georgian National Bank, by the end of this year, as well as in the first half of next year, inflation will be quite low. However, since the summer of 2012, the analysts predict "moderate inflation".
