Georgian opposition held a rally near the White House
Today, not far from the residence of the U.S. President in the U.S. capital - the White House, a kind of protest was held. According to the GHN, it was organized by the leader of the Labor Party of Georgia Shalva Natelashvili. During the campaign, Natelashvili read out slogans against the official authorities of Georgia and announced a call for the american authorities to take away Mikhail Saakashvili.
"I appeal to the American government to stop supporting the political regime of Saakashvili and to take all legal measures to make him promptly give up power, and give us the opportunity to choose our own government", said Natelashvili during his speech at the rally in front of the White House.
Recall, during one of his visits to the U.S. at the beginning of this year, Natelashvili tried to convince the American lobby, supporting the current leadership of Georgia, not to interfere in the internal affairs of Sakartvelo during possible protests to overthrow "the dictatorial regime of Mikhail Saakashvili". At that time they were planned for the spring.
