Alasania: after the Rose Revolution much has changed in Georgia
According to the leader of the "Free Democrats" Irakli Alasania, 8 years after the Rose Revolution it can be said that the situation had improved in Georgia. "Georgia is moving forward, the society is developing. These authorities have done a lot for infrastructure development, energy security, fight against crime, which of course deserves evaluation. But there is much, related to the personal political freedom, economic development. This is the main heavy legacy that these authorities would leave the followers", the GHN quoted Alasania.
Then opposition leader expressed the hope that perhaps, after the parliamentary elections in Georgia, scheduled for 2012, he would also be able to participate in correcting deficiencies.
"I am convinced that after the elections we will have a chance to gradually eliminate the problematic issues and to bring Georgia closer to Europe", said Alasania.
