Patriarch Kirill goes to Yerevan
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill will take part in the meeting of the Interreligious Council of the CIS countries on November 28 and 29 in the Armenian capital. This was reported by "Georgia-News" citing the Armenian media. As the press office of Holy Echmiadzin explained in an interview, the meeting in Yerevan would involve leaders and representatives of traditional religions of the CIS countries, such as Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Buddhism.
"The planned meeting will be attended by His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill and His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II", stressed in the press-service.
Also the meeting will involve Yerevan chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Caucasian Muslims Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pasha-zade and Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.
