Georgian Republicans against the regulation of sales of the press
Members of the Georgian Republican Party joined the statement recently circulated by the representatives of the Georgian press. As reported by the GHN, members of the party can express their protest against the demolition of the stalls to sell the press. According to the republicans, the decision taken by the City Mayor, is a means of pressure on the local press and small business.
"The Republicans are opposed it from the first day of the decision, since it is iniquity, which serves for the monopolization of this sphere and the expulsion of small business. At the same time, we require that the Municipality of Tbilisi would make public not only the statistical results of the auction, but also specific information about companies and individuals who are allowed to put stalls in the capital", said in a statement circulated by the Republicans.
Prior to that, Tbilisi City Hall announced tender for the installation of a thousand stalls in the Georgian capital. According to city officials, it would be good for small and medium businesses in the capital.
