Supporters of presidential candidate of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov gathered at the street in front of the headquarters of the candidate, pending the outcome of elections.
According to "Georgia News", there are about 300 people. At the same time, representatives of the participants noted that they would not organize any protest actions in case of defeat of their candidate, and came with only peaceful intentions.
Previously, Anatoly Bibilov promised that he would not "lead the people to the streets".
"We won't hold any rallies. If the difference between us will be insignificant, we appeal to the CEC asking for specific information", the "Osinform" quoted the candidate.
According to the official website of the CEC of South Ossetia, at 2 a.m., the data from 43 polls of 85, ie 19 413 ballot papers (50, 59%), were processed.
The voting was as follows: at these polls Ala Dzhioeva (ex-Minister of Education) gained 9972 votes (51.37%), Anatoly Bibilov (Minister of Emergency Situations) - 8971 votes (46.21%). According to the head of the CEC Bella Plieva, counting of votes continues.
Note also that the presidential elections in South Ossetia was attended by over 70 percent of registered voters.
