According to the deputy head of the Georgian Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze, "the happening in South Ossetia can not be regarded as the election". Recall, on the eve, second round of elections for a new president was held in South Ossetia. After the counting of votes at the presidential elections in South Ossetia, the former Education Minister of the Republic Alla Dzhioeva at half of the polls.

According to the official website of the CEC of South Ossetia, at 2 a.m., the data from 43 polls of 85, ie 19 413 ballot papers (50, 59%), were processed.
