Today it became known about the cancellation of the results of the second round of presidential elections in South Ossetia. According to "Georgia News", such decision was made by the Supreme Court of the country. The election results were declared invalidate in connection with violations that were committed during the election. "The results of the election declared invalidate ... All the alleged violations are confirmed", RIA Novosti quoted one of the representatives of the court.
Recall, the second round of elections for a new head of South Ossetia took place last Sunday. According to preliminary results, the representative from the opposition Alla Dzhioeva won. But the Supreme Court prohibited the CEC of the country of South Ossetia to announce the final figures for the elections untill the review of complaint of violations during the elections. This complaint was filed by the ruling party in South Ossetia "The Unity".
However, without waiting for official information from the court and the CEC, Dzhioeva's staff hastened to announce that the opposition candidate won. According to the results of counting 74 of 85 of the minutes, Dzhioeva gained 56.7 percent of the vote, Bibilov - 40 percent.
