TV "Maestro" ends broadcasting
According to the latest information, the Georgian TV Company "Maestro" ceased broadcasting. As reported by the GHN, it happened after a sudden raid of one of the owners of the channel - Erosi Kitsmarishvili together with a group of people right in the building of the TV channel. According to preliminary data, the number of victims - about a dozen.
According to one of the founders of the channel - Mamuka Glonti, Kitsmarishvili and his supporters do not let the employees into the building of TV channel, as well as senior representatives of the channel. Its broadcasting is disabled.
At the moment, the employees of the channel and representatives of law enforcement agencies are near the building. The last ones are trying to clarify the situation.
Recall, on the eve, the founders of the Georgian TV channel "Maestro" spread a special statement. As reported by the GHN, the document contained allegations against Erosi Kitsmarishvili. He is accused of interfering in the editorial policy of the channel. In particular, the paper argued that it became known that Kitsmarirshvili had held a meeting with the creative team of television without coordination with the management and founders of the company.
"We believe that this is interference in editorial policy of the "Maestro". In addition, the founders of the "Maestro" have learned that the management company has accumulated a debt to some partners, which pose a serious threat to the normal functioning of the "Maestro". We urge the General Director of "Maestro" Illia Kikabidze to respond to this fact so as to ensure the editorial independence of the "Maestro" as it was before", said the authors of the distributed statement.
