Cartu Bank again complains about the terror from the authorities
Today, the management of the Cartu Bank, owned by well-known politician and businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili, issued next statement. As reported by the GHN, this statement is again related to the situation prevailing around the financial structure and the actions of the authorities of the country.
"Last week, the Georgian authorities have carried out an unprecedented punitive operation, when within two or three days arrested the property of the four business groups, worth 100 million lari (14 businesses and individuals). ... This actually left the credit commitments of Cartu Bank "in volume of 70 million GEL, which is actually 20% of the total loan portfolio, unsecured", said in a statement.
The document also contains other facts of the authorities' actions, violating the law, said in the statement.
Further, the authors wrote: "We appeal to the banking institutions operating at the territory of Georgia, to local or foreign human rights organizations and, above all, to representatives of international financial institutions in Georgia - at least now, when it is clear that a political motivated state terror was waged against the Cartu Bank, lift up your voice over lawlessness and injustice".
