Dzhioeva threatens Kokoity
The former opposition candidate in the presidential election in South Ossetia Alla Dzhioeva issued a statement that after coming to power she would prosecute the current head of the country Eduard Kokoity. "Mr. Kokoity is the personification of lawlessness in South Ossetia, and, if we were in a civilized state, he would be the first one to be prosecuted under very serious articles", RIA Novosti quoted Dzhioeva's words. "The court must give the final evaluation of Kokoity's actions", added the oppositionist.
"Statement by Kokoity that he is "law and lawlessness in the country" just has caused protests, which made possible to win in the presidential election", said Dzhioeva.
She noted that her inaugurated as the "President of South Ossetia" is scheduled on December 10
As "Georgia News" recalled, on the eve, Dzhioeva made another statement - that she gave the country's current leader Eduard Kokoity two days to resign and leave the region. "If within two days you decide to leave, we'll give you the opportunity to take all the stolen money and live wherever you want", said Dzhioeva, speaking at the central square of Tskhinval. "December 7, under the Constitution Kokoity's presidency expires, after which he must leave his post", Dzhioeva explained in an interview.
