Baghaturia accused Saakashvili of gigantomania
According to Georgian opposition MP, the leader of the parliamentary faction of "Kartuli Dasi" Jondi Baghaturia, the official Georgian authorities suffer from gigantomania. He also calls on the country's leadership to moderate its imagination.
As the GHN teported, this was how Baghaturia at today's plenar meeting commented an initiative of Mikhail Saakashvili to build a new city - Lasik. According to Baghaturia, this is due to the lively imagination of the authorities, which spend huge amounts of money.
"I remember the adventures of Baron Munchausen, who got out of the swamp, where he had fell with his horse. Such fantasies, won't help either you or the president to pull the country out of the swamp. It is obvious that the state goes to social collapse. Stop this gigantomania", said Baghaturia.
He urged the Georgian MPs to use the funds, intended for the construction of Lasik, for the solution of social problems in the country.
Just a couple of days ago it was reported that Michail Saakashvilii plans to build a new city of Lasik at the Black Sea shore. It would be located between the villages Anaklia and Kulevi and will become the second country in terms of population, VZGLIAD reported.
"In the next 10 years, at least half a million people will live in this city, and it will become the second city in Georgia after Tbilisi in terms of population. It will be a marine, economic and commercial center in western Georgia", Saakashvili said.
The city building will be started next year, and negotiations with major investors on this issue have already begun.
