Dzhioeva gets ready for positive developments
On the eve, former presidential candidate of South Ossetia Alla Dzhioeva reported some progress on resolving the situation in the region, which escalated after the second round of elections for the head of South Ossetia on November 27. As reported by "Georgia News" with reference to RIA Novosti, Dzhioeva has held talks with the head of Russian Presidential Administration for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Sergey Vinokurov. He is the intermediary in resolving the situation in South Ossetia.
"For the first time since the beginning of consultations, we are leaving with a positive. We listened and heard. We hope very much that the next round will be more productive", Dzhioeva said in an interview. "During conversation with Vinokurov we have designated the interim position. December 8 at 16:00, the negotiations will continue", added the oppositionist.
She also expressed the position that she considers it acceptable if the current head of South Ossetia, Eduard Kokoity resigns, his term expired on December 7, and power in the country temporarily passes to the prime minister Vadim Brovtsev. It was he who, according to Dzhioeva, may pave the way for re-election, which is scheduled for March 25. Previously, such a proposal was made by Vice-Speaker of South Ossetia Yuri Dzitstsoyty.
"This is a normal option, it is acceptable to us", Dzhioeva said.
Before that, she has repeatedly stated about the admissibility of only her winning at the past election.
