According to information released today by the specialists of the Georgian statistical office "Gruzstat" ("Sakstat"), during the first three quarters of this year Azerbaijan has invested $ 40.4 million in Georgia. This reported by Trend referring to Georgian statisticians.
Thus, according to the first quarter of 2011, the Azeri investment in Georgia amounted to $ 11.7 million, in the second - $ 13.2 million, in the third quarter - $ 15.5 million. Thus, the experts note steady increase of the Azerbaijani Investment in the neighboring country.
According to the third quarter, foreign direct investment in Georgia amounted to $ 266.0 million. According to the calculations of statisticians, it's a 66 percent increase over the same period last year.
According to the first three quarters of 2011, foreign direct investment in Georgia amounted to $ 643.0 million. According to "Gruzstat", most investments in Georgia this year came from the Netherlands - $ 134.7 million, Denmark - $ 99.8 million, Cyprus - $ 80.8 million.
