Asanidze: Kaladze's statement about the leaving the national team is politicized
According to the chairman of the Georgian Parliamentary Committee on Sport and Youth Affairs Giorgi Asanidze, the statement of famous Georgian soccer player Kakha Kaladze about his leaving the national team of Georgia is politicized, moreover, they cannot turn a blind eye on it. As the GHN reported, this way the head of the Committee commented Kaladze's decision.
"We must not turn a blind eye on the form of Kaladze's statement, and should not forget that it was a political move. Basing on his previous political statements, it was not new for us", Asanidze said.
When a person plays in the national team, and even more - he is its captain, he has a great responsibility before the country, the MP added.
"He can leave the national team, but this should not happen in a political context. The national team and the political team are two different things, and no one should confuse them with each other", Asanidze concluded.
Recall, last weekend, during the presentation of the new public movement in Georgia, "Georgia Dream", the captain of the national soccer team Kakha Kaladze said that he left the national team. He thanked all his colleagues from the team and also apologized to fans for the unfortunate moments of the game, including the match against Italy when he scored two own goals.
