New grain terminal launched In Poti
New grain terminal is launched in the Georgian port of Poti. According to "Business-Georgia", a ceremony to open it was held. It was attended by the head of the Georgian agricultural departments Gorozia Zaza.
The terminal was built in cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia with the "daughter" of the international company "BUNGE" - "Agrokom".
The terminal operates in a renovated building of the former grinding plant. As expected, at the first phase the terminal will be able to receive about 22 thousand tons of grain, in the future, its capacity will increase to 250 thousand tons.
Special equipment, which will allow to unload and load about 35 tons of grain, is planned to be installed in the port terminal in first quarter of 2012.
