Saakashvili was proposed to cultivate his vineyard for 30 GEL
Today the leader of Georgian "Democratic Movement" Nino Burjanadze spoke with an unusual proposal to the head of the Georgian state. As the GHN reported, in relation to the new presidential initiative on the distributing vouchers for processing of agricultural land valued at 30 lari, Burjanadze proposed Mikhail Saakashvili to conduct this experiment in his vineyard himself and to try to cultivate it for this modest sum.
"Distribution of the voucher of 30 lari for the villagers is nothing but anther step taken for the pre-election PR that in reality does not lead to the advancement of the inhabitants of the village. Such assistance may be only little help to farmers, but it is still a one-time help by the state. Accordingly, it is in the interests of the current regime not to include real support for agriculture, because they do not need independent farmers, as well as they do not need strong middle class in the country. Society has vivid memories of these repeated PR campaigns of "helping" villagers, but has not improved the economic state of farmers", noted in a statement of the "Democratic Movement".
