Philip Gordon: The U.S. and Russia are effective partners
According to the U.S. Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian affairs Philip Gordon, Russia and the U.S. are effective partners in the development of multilateral responses to global challenges. According to Trend, Gordon announced this position yesterday at the hearing of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, dedicated to issues of Russian-American relations.
"The U.S. and Russia, as the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, together with France closely cooperate to achieve a peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through negotiations", Gordon said.
Recall, the conflict between the two South Caucasus countries - Armenia and Azerbaijan - over Nagorno-Karabakh began in 1988.
