The head of the RKNK: Georgia harms Russia and the Caucasians
The head of the Russian Congress of Peoples of the Caucasus (RKNK) Aliy Totorkulov believes that the interference of Georgian government in Russia's internal affairs harms the situation in the North Caucasus.
As Totorkulov stated at a press conference in Moscow, the official Georgian government is interested in worsening political situation in Russia, so Tbilisi well may interfere into the developments in the North Caucasus. At the same time, Totorkulov stressed that the Georgian people adhere to a different position. "And we, the Congress of Peoples of the Caucasus, also oppose interference in the internal affairs of Russia. Destabilizing the situation in the North Caucasus, Georgia is harms Russia and primarily the Caucasians", the head of RKNK said.
"The Georgian people has nothing to do with it. However, due to the fact that such relations between Moscow and Tbilisi have been developing quite negatively, it will be continued", Aliy Totorkulov added.
Earlier, in his last interview, the head of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said that allegedly on the territory of Georgia they are training people for committing terrorist acts in Russia.
Recall, Nikolai Patrushev has repeatedly spoke of the involvement of Georgian security forces into terrorist acts on Russian territory.
"We had information that some members of the Georgian intelligence services maintain contacts with terrorist organizations in the Russian North Caucasus. We need to check this version too, with regard to terrorist attacks in Moscow", he said after the explosions in the underground of Moscow.
In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia called Patrushev's assumptions "frivolous and devoid of any logic". Thus, the first deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Bokeria said these charges are intended to cover the incompetence and weakness of the Russian secret services.
