Ivanishvili met with the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia
The billionaire and the young opposition politician Bidzina Ivanishvili discussed a number of issues at a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Bass, the spokesperson of the businessman Kandiashvili Nona reported, according to "Georgia News".
"It was a working meeting held in a proprietary format. At the meeting they talked about citizenship of Ivanishvili. They also discussed the issues that arose after Ivanishvili announced his entering the politics", Kandiashvili said.
The meeting was held at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi.
Recall, on the eve, the leader of the "Democratic Movement", ex-speaker of Georgian parliament Nino Burjanadze stated that Ivanishvili has every chance of success in politics, the GHN reported.
"There are many issues on which the exchange of views with Ivanishvili is important. For the country it is very important, that on this difficult path, which is called the fight against criminal authorities, any mistakes would not have been admitted", the former speaker said at an extended meeting of "National Assembly".
She stressed that she is interested that political activity of Ivanishvili were successful, and that the "National Assembly" welcomes the arrival of Ivanishvili into politics.
"The "Assemly" has repeatedly expressed its readiness to cooperate with all those forces whose aim is to change, rather than to replace the authorities", she said.
