Dzhioeva may revoke her signature under the agreement with Kokoity
Ex-presidential candidate in South Ossetia Alla Dzhioeva threatened to revoke her signature under the agreement with the former president of the republic Eduard Kokoity, since the proponents of the latter has not fulfilled the conditions of the document, RIA Novosti reported.
"Their side has not fulfilled the agreement. Accordingly, we have the right to revoke our signatures", Alla Dzhioeva said at a press conference in Moscow.
Recall, the agreement between Dzhioeva and Kokoity was to provide the termination of protest of the Dzhioeva's supporters in exchange for Kokoity's resignation, as well as the dismissal of Prosecutor General of the Republic Taimuraz Khugaev, his deputy Eldar Kokoev and the chairman of Supreme Court Atsamaz Bichenov.
On the eve of his retirement on December 10 Kokoity signed a submission to the dismissal of officials, but December 14 the Parliament of South Ossetia voted against the dismissals.
In the case of Khugaev the votes were divided equally: the resignation of the Prosecutor General was supported 15 deputies, another 15 were against and one ballot was spoiled. Meanwhile, they need simple majority vote to make a decision. Only eight deputies voted for the resignation of the head of Supreme Court, 22 were against. One ballot was also spoiled.
