Yevkurov: The situation in Ingushetia returned to normal
The situation in Ingushetia has stabilized, the population has no more cause for concern, said the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Yevkurov in an interview to "Komsomolskaya Pravda".
"The situation in the country is stable. The people come to us almost daily, feeling their guilt and knowing that they chose wrong way. And, of course, tracking the operational situation by law enforcement agencies gives favorable result", Yevkurov said.
"Our common crime level is higher than last year. But it is so only due to the fact that we record everything, from minor traffic accident and finishing the rest. In statistics of serious, very serious crimes, like assasination attempts and acts of terrorism - all of these rates have 70, 80, 40, 50 per cent reduction", he noted.
"Today we see close interaction of society with the police. This gives results because we obtain the vast amount of information not only by tracking the operational situation, but also from the residents of the republic", the head of Ingushetia said.
