Manjgaladze: 2012 will be the response to unemployment
The new 2012 for the citizens of Georgia will be response to hardship and unemployment, said spokesman of President Mikhail Saakashvili, Manana Manjgaladze, the GHN reported.
She noted that despite the reforms and progress, there remains a lot of problems. "Thousands of our compatriots are unemployed. Many still live in poverty. That's why 2012 will be the year of response to the challenges in this direction", Manjgaladze said.
At the same time the spokesman noted that 2011 became extremely successful for Georgia. "Economic growth in the country in 2011 amounted to 6.5%. International Agencies highly evaluated the continuation of reforms in Georgia", she said.
"We'll continue the reforms in education, agriculture, health and penitentiary system, as well as in the justice system. Our reforms have caused serious interest", Manjgaladze added.
