Vasiliev became Lermontov's manager
Working Group of the Government of Stavropol Territory has decided that the acting head of the city administration of Lermontov is the first deputy Viktor Vasiliev.
December 27, the Governor Valery Gajewski announced the formation of a working group to bring order to Lermontov. It includes representatives of the government of the region. The first meeting was attended by the first deputy chief of staff of Lermontov Victor Vasiliev and Mayor Alexander Dunayev.
"Since the current city manager Eugene Pecherin is engaged in litigation and disputes the decision of the illegitimate Council of the City to terminate the contract with him; the Acting Head of Administration will be Victor Vasiliev", said the governor's press secretary Olena Mikhina, according to the "Caucasian Knot".
December 26, Melnikov was attacked; two attackers inflicted 15 stab wounds. The attack happened at about 8 p.m. Moscow time, reported the agency. Now the former head of the city administration is in intensive care, he was operated, officials said the hospital has not specified any other details about the health of the victim. "Yes, indeed, (Miller) was received with stab wounds, he was operated",- said the employee of the hospital.
One of Melnikov's friends said that the former head of the administration is in serious condition and in the morning he will be operated, but the hospital refused to confirm or deny this information, Lenta.ru reported.
The city of Lermontov recently found itself in the media spotlight because of conflicts in city administration.
Former chief of Melnikov's staff has been working in Pyatigorsk for over a year; and few days ago he told media that the current chief of staff is a hired City Manager Eugene Pecherin. Dunayev said that the appointment is illegal and the document on new appointments is fake.
Prior to that, the media reported that December 13 Melnikov, Pecherin and others tried to get into the office of the chief of staff.
