Saakashvili told the truth about the government
The Georgian government does not steal people's money and cares only for the welfare of its citizens, President Mikhail Saakashvili said.
As the president said at the opening of a new hospital in Keda, the government knows that the people elected them and the people is their final destination.
"Every day we're trying to make your live better, not only to make everything surrounding beautiful. I'll never forget that you liberated Adjara, when the cars started from here you went down and told the then governor that it was enough to laugh at people, and line the pockets at the expense of the people. That regime ended at that time, and a new era began in Adjara. You remember that Abashidze repainted one of the old hospital, and bragged together with Luzhkov and others about what a good thing they did. Now, we construct the best hospitals in the world, not repair. This is the difference between the eras of construction and wagging tail. Either you are worried about your pocket, or about how to pull children out of poverty and how to create good conditions for people", the GHN reported Saakashvili.
Meanwhile, Georgia's foreign debt is growing every day. Already now the republic owes international lenders almost four and a half billion dollars. Incidentally, this is equal to the national budget. But it seems that this fact does not bother the republic's leadership. In early December it was announced that Tbilisi will receive credit from Deutsche Bank for Reconstruction (KfW) EUR 4 million euro for emergency rehabilitation of houses of displaced persons in western Georgia. According to official information, for this money they will repair sewerage and water supply, improve housing and living conditions of refugees in Poti, Zugdidi, Kutaisi and Batumi. In addition, another $ 40 million were allocated to Georgia by Asian Development Bank. The parties have entered into a loan agreement to finance "investment program to improve urban service". The meaning of this term is still unknown.
