South Ossetia is calm during the holidays
The situation in South Ossetia during the Christmas holidays remained calm. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the report of local Interior Ministry.
"Within three days of Christmas no serious violations of law and public order were not fixed. As a result of measures we managed to minimize the number of cases of firing into the air with small arms on the night of December 31 to January 1", said the duty of the MIA department.
They also reminded that at the present time the MIA employees continued to serve in emergency regime.
As added by the "Caucasian Knot", January 2, 2012, the Acting President of South Ossetia Vadim Brovtsev held a meeting with government officials, the main issue of which was the construction and improvement of the capital of the republic.
"From now on we will resume construction processes to insure the result after the holidays", Brovtsev said.
The Acting President of South Ossetia ordered to make a list of contractors, which have adequate technical and professional resources to efficiently cope with their tasks, till January 10.
