Iran is ready for talks with UN Security Council over its nuclear program
Iran intends to resume negotiations with the "six" on the nuclear issue in the near future in Turkey, the GHN reported.
"We hope that the talks between Iran and the group "5 +1" (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) will be held at a venue, agreed by both sides, in my opinion, it is desirable to be held in Turkey", said Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi at a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Salehi referred to informal dialogue with the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, which took place at a conference on Afghanistan in Bonn.
"Then I told Ashton to offer the time and place for negotiations, while Saeed Jalili [Secretary of Supreme National Security Council of Iran] will also propose a time and place for negotiations", said Salehi.
