Boxes for abandoned babies will appear in Georgia
Boxes for unwanted babies may appear in Georgia in the near future. The country's parliament is positive towards this issue, VZGLIAD reported.
According to the Vice-Speaker of Georgian Parliament Giorgi Tsereteli, such service, called the baby-box, is being used in many civilized countries.
"We need prevention to avoid getting rid of unwanted children; the main thing is to keep their lives", he said.
Tsereteli said that the parliament would solve this issue after consultations with experts, in order "to positively change the reality".
Note that currently in Georgia, five women are serving sentences in prison for the murder of babies.
