NATO promised not to invade in Syria
NATO has no plans to carry out military operations in Syria, said the senior official of NATO headquarter, the Interfax reported.
"As has been clearly stated by the Secretary General, NATO has no intention of interfering in the affairs of Syria. Libya and Syria - are two different cases. NATO's role in Syria is not discussed", said the source.
For more than nine months, protests against the regime of Bashar al-Assad, accompanied by massive besoryadkami and shooting, are continuing in Syria. According to the UN, during this time, more than five thousand people were killed in clashes with security forces.
