Alasania welcomed the appearance of Khvedelidze
The leader of the "Free Democrats" Irakli Alasainiya praised appearance of opposition billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili's wife Catherine Khvedelidze in Georgian politics, the GHN reported.
"This is welcome. Georgian society expects just such a novelty - the party, equipped with new faces and people who are looking to the future will join Georgian politics", Alasania said.
"Everyone should have a chance to create a political force and to participate in fair elections, when the major decision is made by Georgian voter", he added.
As one of the leaders of "New Right" Manana Nachkebia stated in an interview to GTimes, the new party of the billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili's wife Catherine Khvedelidze has the prospects in the parliamentary elections in the republic.
"10 months remain till the elections, and everything depends on how they will act in the future", she said, adding that the movement has got several issues arising from certain circumstances.
"Bidzina Ivanishvili himself cannot lead a political party, since he's lost his citizenship of Georgia. Catherine Khvedelidze becomes the head of the party only because of that. We do not know this person, so that it is too early to judge. But perhaps she does have the qualities that will help her in managing the political movement", Nachkebia said.
